Meet The Teacher
A little about myself......
I was born and raised in San Francisco. When my oldest daughters were ready to enter kindergarten, we left the city and bought our home in Novato. I consider myself truly a city girl, but have grown to love the open space surrounding this quiet little town. I have three daughters. Samantha and Isabel are twins. Sam recently graduated U.C. Davis and is now working as an enviormental graphic designer and Izzy is a graduate student at San Francisco Conservatory studying classical voice. Sophie, my youngest, will be a sophomore at Southern Oregon University this fall. All three girls attended Pleasant Valley, as well as my husband! I feel very fortunate to teach at such a wonderful school and live in such a supportive community.
My Education and Teaching Experience:
I received my B.A. in Child Development and my Multi-Subject Teaching Credential from San Francisco State. Over the years, I've taught in both preschool and elementary education. I took some time off from my teaching career to be a stay-at-home mom. I returned to teaching elementary school eleven years ago. This will be my seventh year teaching second grade at Pleasant Valley. I love working with children and sharing with them my love of learning.
*A word of advice to my second graders: Do not let your little sister cut your hair the night before Picture Day!*
